Oak
Brewing Company Ltd, Phoenix Brewery, Green Lane, Heywood, Greater
Manchester
Established
in Ellesmere Port on Merseyside in 1982, Oak Brewery moved to
to Heywood in 1991 before changing their name to Phoenix in 1996.
Phoenix
now supply over 150 pubs in the North West and West Yorkshire.
Whilst the brewery's Wobbly Bob is now almost legendary they also
specialise in seasonal beers, producing special ales on an almost
monthly basis.
Oak's
owner, Tony Allen, claims that the brewery is now recreating exactly
the same tasting beer as that previously produced in Ellesmere
Port.
